Don't Make the Same Mistakes As Others

Breaking up is never never easy, but guess what? It has to be done. Below is some advice on how to end a relationship the right way.

To quote Neil Sedaka, "Breaking up is hard to do." As difficult as a break up can be, it has to be done. The relationship is just not working out anymore, so why lead him on? Your heart is just not in it anymore. He'll understand. Let the poor guy find someone who will love him and want to be with him.

Here are a few tips about the proper way to end a relationship.

Do It In Person

You're a big girl now and part of being an adult is ending a relationship. Would you want your boyfriend to dump you via text or e-mail? I didn't think so. Break up with him in person, but in a private place like your home or his. You don't want him to cause a scene in public in front of a bunch of people do you?

Don't Use Lame Excuses

Let's be real here. Has anyone believed a guy when he said, "oh it's not you, it's me" so why lie to him yourself? Plus, he'll know you're full of it if you use that excuse. If there's no chemistry, then just tell him.

Don't Procrastinate

Is this case, it's not better late than never. End things now. The longer you wait to end the relationship, the harder it will be on the both parties. It might even take onger to move on from each other if the break up is pro-longed.

The Biggest Mistake A Person Can Make

Is having break up sex. Trust me, it's not a good idea. We're women and we can be emotional, so why jump back into bed with a man you just broke up with? Does that sound like a great idea to you? Your answer to this question should be no.

It's ok to be a little nervous about the aftermath of the break up, call a girlfriend and let her know what happened. That's what they're there for. Call them up and talk about what happened.

Don't say you want to be friends if it's not true. If you do,take some time before hanging out with the ex-boyfriend again. It could lead to pity sex and that's just as bad as break up sex.

Oh and jealousy is an ugly face on a woman. If he starts dating sooner than expected, don't get jealous. Be happy that he's found someone who cares about him and makes him happy.
